“Olives from Kalamata (or as their know, Kalamon olives) is a unique type of olive derives from the region of Kalamata in Peloponesse. However, it grows in many places in Greece and it has become one of the most popular olive varieties that are produced in Greece. Every winter, we pick the most sumptuous ones, immerse them in brine and serve them up.
They have a long (almond) shape, a beautiful black-violet colour and they give a rich flavor, a bit of sweetness and a hard texture. They are processed by natural fermentation and packed in brine, red vinegar and olive oil.
You can add them to your salads, or food recipes. They will provide you all the mono-unsaturated fats you need in your diet.
